Accomplishments of Department of Studies and Planning

Listed below are the department's accomplishments during the presidency of the University of Babylon over several years.


2019 achievements

Completion of the ministerial book on university and technical data for the 2019/2020 academic year, which contains the actual numbers of all university students (students, human resources, supplies and lecturers).

Preparing the Financial Supervisory Authority's annual administrative report

Submit university orders for medical specialty postgraduates for the first and second rounds to the Studies and Planning Department / the Ministry.

Facilitating the task of researchers and postgraduate and undergraduate students to complete their research

Modernizing the human resource statistics system (instructors and employees).

Follow-up on the undergraduate student's statistical system.

Since the creation of universities' faculties, postgraduate students’ information has been collected and consolidated.

Collect and report standardised data on affiliates, students with disabilities, and special needs to the Ministry.

Preparing a report on the success rate of students in the first stage (beginning study) based on the admission routes and presenting it to the Ministry's Department of Studies and Planning.

Creating graphs with statistics regarding the university's accomplishments from 2014 to 2018.

Following the government program and adopting a genuine twinning with the University of Iraq.

A course named (Causal Brain Dynamics of Autistic Disorders) from July 21st to July 25th, 2019, in which Dr Shamil Mohsen Hadi from the American University of Auckland lectured and several specialist university professors took part.

A course has been held titled (Modern Management Methodology) for senior and middle administrative leaders from July 7 to July 12, 2019. The strategic expert and member of the Institutional Development Academy, Mr Muhammad Jassim Muhammad, lectured.

Completing the ministerial book (A comprehensive survey of parallel public and private education, vocational and development training) and submitting it to the ministry.

The writing and development of the plans (draft accreditation of the course system) and the ministry's response to the university's compulsory courses related to the course system are accomplished.

Completing the ministerial book of students who graduated from Iraqi universities in 2014 or later to obtain a certificate (bachelor’s, higher diploma, master's and doctorate).

Completing the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences' Olympic Charter book.

Submitting a study regarding the creation of corresponding medical group faculty and a specialized medical university to the University Council's secretariat, in implementing what was stated in the book of the minutes of the fifth meeting of the opinion board, No. TM 7/8735 on 11/11/2019.

Completing the statistics of undergraduate and postgraduate studies for the year (2018/2019) for three rounds(first, second, and supplemental rounds) and submitting it to the Ministry of Education / Department of Studies and Planning / Statistics and Informatics in an official letter.

Completing The electronic course system of a workshop on December 30, 2019.

Completing Periodically reports monthly to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Department of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up / Statistics and Informatics the University of Babylon's notable qualitative achievements.

Completion of several distributed ministerial books within the response time limit, including books connected to the training curriculum and training courses, as well as the nomination of university personnel for them.

Raising the semester activity (first, second, third, and fourth) of the University of Babylon to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority for the period from (10/1/2019 to 10/4/2019) and the period from (10/4/2019 to 10/4/2019).

Our institution is rated #1 in Iraq according to the British Times ranking for sustainable development for 2019.

2020 achievements

Completing the university census for the 2019-2020 academic year to request undergraduate and postgraduate studies, lecturers, and supplies, and send it electronically to the Statistics Department of the Studies and Planning Department of the Ministry of Education.

Compiling information for the 2019/2020 academic year covering the number of accepted and available students for elementary and advanced programs at the entire university.

The completion and submission of the ministerial book (statistical indicators) to the ministry.

College-level statistics and graphing of scientific title statistics.For the year 2020, the Ministerial Statistical System for Human Resources was revised.

Distributing information about fellowship research on male infertility to colleges.Distributing professional ethics-related university requirements to all university faculties.

After it has been determined that the prerequisites for the founding of the Department of Economics and the Department of Accounting have been met, submit a study to the Secretariat of the University Council.

Recycling the department's books to all faculties, departments, and centers of the president. Through the electronic management system.

Distribution of the course system guide so that all faculties can work following it.

Determining the most significant, unusual, and necessary university advancements and distributing a message to the University Council secretariat and all colleges.

Completing a position on proficiency tests (Arabic, English, computers) during the ban period, which are statistics collected from university centers and sent with a position to the Ministry, where the total number of tests during the ban period reached 37 tests, the total number of registered 3013 registered, the total number of participants 1916, and the number of successful test takers stood at a total of 102. The entire amount is 1709, and there are 222 repeaters.

Under the supervision of Dr Mahmoud Shaker Hammoudi, the Studies and Planning Department held a workshop on the network salary system to organize the work of all university faculties, standardize salaries, facilitate the work of accountants, and reduce effort, particularly regarding monthly central reports and the report of the unified job number required by the Ministry of Planning. The session stated that the network salary system is an integral aspect of the University of Babylon's electronic administrative and financial system and a crucial step in implementing electronic management.

Granting authorities to those authorised in faculties to work on the ministerial system for daily situations for the first course exams (first round) to submit them to the ministry daily.

Completing a book (database) for the data of instructors holding the title (Professor, Assistant Professor, Instructor) and submission to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority / Office of the Agency Head.

Completing and submitting a book on monitoring the development of electronic examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. To the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority / University Supervision Department.

Conducting a workshop with university faculty to discuss the fulfilment of the strategic plan for the coming years (2021-2026)
