University of Babylon and the Community
The University of Babylon realizes its primary role by contributing to the service of the local and international community, by means of its undergraduate and postgraduate students and alumni. The community participation of the university is manifested through its contribution to the technical, economic and social developments by providing education, preparing research, and organizing many events and activities for the community. In line with the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to achieve leadership and innovation in education, research and community services at local and global levels, the University of Babylon strongly encourages its students and employees to be active members of society by participating in community services and holding events that enhance the quality-of-life for university students, staff members, and other individuals.
Each academic year, the University of Babylon organizes many initiatives and events both on campus and outside the university to work closely with the outer community. The university also adopts an annual strategy in line with government directives issued by the Ministry of Education. The university encourages students, faculty members, and administrators to participate in many initiatives to serve the Iraqi community. In recent years, the university has organized many activities and events, including calls for planting (palm) trees as a voluntary work, providing workshops, and providing free IT support to the academic community. The majority of these activities can be retrieved and followed through the Department of Media and Public Relations.
