STUDIES AND STRATEGIC PLANNING

Since the university was founded on April 25, 1991, this department was established under the Department of Planning and Statistics and housed inside the administrative assistant's department. In 2013, the department's name was changed to the Studies, Planning, and Follow-Up Department. It became a division of the Scientific Assistant Department, with three divisions: Planning Division, Statistics Division, and Data and Informatics Division.


The department establishes annual plans and requirements for the institution and all scientific activities, curriculum, faculties, and departments. The creation of departments, branches, units, and colleges is sent to the university council and the ministry for authorisation. In 2013, the Department of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up was detached from the Administrative Assistant and placed under the supervision of the University's Assistant President for Scientific Affairs. The department is responsible for establishing planning processes in faculties, university centres, and departments and coordinating amongst them to implement the university's strategic plan and subsequent monitoring in the academic, administrative, and financial domains.


Other objectives of the Studies and Planning Department include:

laying the necessary foundations and standards for the planning process in all academic fields,preparing plans for all university activities, and We are coordinating with planning units in the university's faculties to develop a mechanism for applying the planning methodology in various university formations and preparing plans and studies on the required expansion of the university.
