Research priorities

As part of the innovation and development strategy set by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, our university aims towards becoming an internationally recognized higher education institutions and a pioneer in research in various disciplines. The university is currently classified as an accredited research institution, with distinguished and elite faculty members and researchers who enable our university of meeting its aims and visions. It is worth mentioning that the university has a global academic reputation in various field of scientific research. The large number of university students and graduates makes it an important source of human resources for most sectors of economic activity. The university aims, through innovative high-level distinguished research, to meet the country's research needs in areas of national priority in order to explore new opportunities for knowledge transfer and the commercialization of scientific research. The University Council has identified eight basic areas and factors of transformational priorities for nourishing the scientific research in Iraq.
