Planning Department

This Department's responsibilities include:

First: Preparing, revising, and monitoring the university's general strategic plan and utilising the DCA brief diagnostic technique for the next five years to upgrade and improve university education through the accreditation of e-learning and blended education that has been adopted beginning with the academic year 2020-2021. This plan satisfies the requirements of the labour market and societal needs while maintaining the criteria and indicators of the preceding procedure. In addition, the strategic plan contributes to the formulation of university policies and the clarification of future visions through programs such as annual or five-year plans, which contribute to the implementation of performance evaluation standards for all university operations and are consistent with the comprehensive quality management programs, Postgraduate and undergraduate degrees are necessary, as are technical, administrative, and professional specialities; the need for future projects and expansions, and the establishment of research and development centres, branches, and scientific departments. To detail these plans, an effective on-site and office follow-up system that constantly documents the percentages of achievement is needed, in addition to delivering quarterly reports that clarify these percentages and monitoring the barriers that stand in the way of execution to avoid them, and to carry out these plans using the previously planned initiatives.

Second, Prepare all plans for faculties and departments associated with the Presidency of the University in direct consultation with these faculties and departments, preparing the necessary prerequisites for the success of these plans.

Third the university's involvement with the local community. The Planning Division collaborates with the governorate council to review the governorate council's directions and the possibilities that can be provided to the university to implement plans and collaborate with the governorate council to solve some problems specific to the city in addition to the university through monthly communication with the council and providing suggestions and contribute to the proposals within the provincial council that are vital to serving the public interest.

Fourth, The Planning Department is in charge of creating annual plans. The yearly plan includes the following: The admittance policy for undergraduate morning and evening studies—postgraduate admissions strategy (Masters and PhD). Meeting anticipated demands in teaching fields according to the level of diploma (Masters and PhD) and requirements of Technicians', administrators', and service members' needs, equipping laboratories based on departments and faculties. Building and construction requirements for classrooms, administrative buildings, and service buildings, and defining branches, departments, and colleges will launch in a given year.

Fifth: Evaluate the curricula of all departments within the faculties (eliminating - developing - adding - amending ).

Sixth: Creating a committee of members from the Studies and Planning Department to collect data from the faculties for the student's directory and the university's directory and update it in collaboration with the Calculator Center to prepare a new edition of the university's Handbook.

Seventh: Follow up on the developments submitted by the university's faculties and scientific departments, following ministerial regulations, with the preparation of an integrated study, the submission of the feasibility and the labour market to the Ministry for obtaining relevant approvals.

Eighth: Answering the distributed ministerial books according to the specific timeframe.

Ninth: Follow up on the development of evening study at colleges and prepare a comprehensive feasibility and labor market analysis will report back to the Ministry for approval.

Data and Informatics Division

The Data and Informatics Division is a supporting component that provides technical assistance to others in planning and continuous monitoring and evaluation of the department's work.The primary responsibilities of the Data and Informatics Division are to follow up on all internal and external correspondence, to monitor the problems and obstacles facing the faculties and departments of the university presidency in all activities, to update these activities continuously, to monitor the implementation of plans and the percentages of achievement achieved, and keeping it updated.Among the most notable duties performed by the Division are the follow-up of religious books, the accuracy of responses before the set deadline, and the follow-up of other books within the specified deadline. They are collecting and consolidating the colleges' responses to the daily situations on the first and second rounds of the final exams and sending them to the Ministry. The activities documentation system collects and unifies the semester activity of the university's faculties, departments, and centers of the president And reports quarterly to the ministry using the activities documentation system, collecting and integrating the outstanding qualitative achievements of the university's faculties, departments, and centers of the president and the ministry's response, distributing the official books for training courses, workshops, seminars, and conferences received from other bodies to the colleges and consolidating the candidates' names for submission to the body responsible for them or the ministry and collecting and consolidating exam schedules and reports and the ministry's response in this respect. Secretariat of the Department

It is in charge of receiving ministerial mail from the office of the scientific assistant, delivering it, and presenting it to the department director, then distributing it to the divisions.
