The University of Babylon has registered approximately (260) patents with the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, marking a new scientific milestone in the field of patents at the international level. Through workshops, seminars, and conferences, the institution has promoted its patent products for governmental service organizations and the private sector.
The Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Muhammad Mansour Al-Khafaji, indicated that most patents apply to the labor market in the fields of engineering, medicine, natural sciences, and software systems.

He pointed out the importance of strengthening the Ministry of Planning s cooperation in order to invest in patents, noting that the university has established unique electronic systems to facilitate raising scientific outputs from patents and research, as well as preserving data from studies and conferences.
