Professor Amean Ajeel Al-Yasir, President of the University of Babylon, represented the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research at the Seventh International Scientific Conference on Creativity and Innovation, organized by the Iraqi International Creativity and Innovation Forum under the slogan "Through Creativity, We Rise to the Peaks." It was held in collaboration with the University of Babylon and several Iraqi universities, under the patronage of the Prime Minister, and attended by Dr. Ali Razouqi representing the Prime Minister, Dr. Lubna Khamis Al-Rubai i, Director General of the Research and Development Department, and a wide participation from researchers, academics, and innovators from inside and outside Iraq, amid distinguished official and scientific attendance.
Dr. Amean Ajeel Al-Yasir delivered the opening speech, affirming that the conference serves as a vital scientific platform for exchanging ideas, sharing expertise, and building research partnerships, embodying the spirit of cooperation between local and international academic institutions. He conveyed the Minister s greetings to the participants. He also inaugurated several patent exhibitions and art exhibitions, noting that this scientific momentum and broad participation from universities and research centers lend the conference an international dimension and enhance fruitful scientific communication.
He explained that the conference aims to highlight the role of scientific research in addressing contemporary challenges, particularly in artificial intelligence, sustainable development, and water scarcity, in addition to supporting patents and transforming creative ideas into applied projects that serve society. The conference activities include discussions of diverse scientific research in medical, engineering, and humanities fields, alongside showcasing innovations and entrepreneurial projects, fostering cooperation opportunities between academic institutions and the public and private sectors. This event aligns with efforts to support scientific dynamism, entrench a culture of innovation, expand horizons for international scientific communication, keep pace with global developments, and contribute to building a knowledge-based economy.
