University of Babylon President, Prof. Dr. Amean Ajeel Al-Yasir, took part in Iraq s 4th Annual AI Forum, sponsored by Higher Education Minister Dr. Hallo Al-Askari and attended by key figures like the Arab Scientific Research Councils Secretary-General and UNESCO s Office Director.
The forum discussed global AI trends, their role in enhancing Iraqi academia, research, and digital partnerships. Dr. Hallo Al-Askari stressed the urgent need for universities to integrate AI into digital frameworks for better governance, problem-solving, and sustainable development.
Prof. Dr. Amean Ajeel Al-Yasir affirmed Babylon s push toward a "smart university" using AI in education, research, and admin, with upcoming projects to boost competitiveness. He highlighted fostering innovation to prepare staff and students for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, aligning with national digital strategies and positioning the university globally
