University of Babylon s Faculty of Sciences launched Entrepreneurship Week, inaugurated by President Prof. Dr. Amean Al-Yasir alongside key leaders like Vice Presidents Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mansour Al-Khafaji and Prof. Dr. Mythaq Talib Al-Jubouri, Dean of Academics Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji, and several faculty deans. Dean Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hadi Al-Shammari opened the event with a speech stressing the need to embed entrepreneurial culture in academia, support innovative ideas, and align scientific research with labor market needs and sustainable development. Highlights included Prof. Dr. Mona Najah Al-Turaihi s lecture on the marketing value of human genomics and investment prospects in genetic technologies to advance the knowledge economy, plus scientific posters on entrepreneurial concepts, a faculty-authored book exhibition, and a "Nature Pharmacy" display featuring safe medicinal plant uses with educational biological models. Overall, the week underscores the university s drive to foster creativity, spur student and researcher innovation, serve the community, and cultivate a knowledge-based economy.
