Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Naim Al-Abboudi, and the supervision of the University of Babylon President Prof. Dr. Amean Ajeel Al-Yasir , the university celebrated the graduation of the Excellence and Creativity Cohort (32nd) for the 2024-2025 academic year in a majestic central ceremony. This event revived academic traditions after an 11-year hiatus, honoring 5,786 graduates from morning and evening programs.
The ceremony opened with Quranic recitations and the national anthem, followed by the president s speech showcasing the university s achievements: 14 e-governance programs, 7 global rankings (with 4 more in preparation), 1,703 Scopus-indexed papers, 391 patents, 11 peer-reviewed journals, 16 awards, 391 academic promotions, attracting 58 international students via "Study in Iraq," 42 international agreements, 15 infrastructure projects, and 143 community advisory programs.
It featured a literary highlight with the poem "Take the Knowledge" recited by student Abbas Ghani Al-Zamili, followed by degree conferrals and the university oath. The event concluded with honors for top achievers: first place Saba Hamad Naif (Pure Sciences Education—Mathematics), second Duaa Zaid Muhammad (Basic Education—English), third Ali Hussein Abdul Munim (Pure Sciences Education—Mathematics), along with all college toppers who expressed their pride in the university.
