Professor Dr. Amean Ajeel Al-Yasir, President of the University of Babylon, actively participated in the international workshop organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) on strategies for leadership and education policies in nursing sciences. The event brought together WHO experts, deans of nursing colleges from Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region, alongside health ministry leaders from both central Iraq and Kurdistan, as well as a select group of specialized professors and consultants.
The workshop sought to explore innovative mechanisms for advancing educational and leadership policies in nursing, while bolstering the role of academic institutions in cultivating highly competent nursing professionals. This aligns seamlessly with global standards, ultimately elevating the quality of healthcare services.
During his contributions, Professor Dr. Amean Al-Yasir underscored the vital importance of partnering with international bodies—especially the WHO—to propel advancements in medical and nursing education. He highlighted the power of expertise exchange to enhance educational outcomes and strengthen Iraq s healthcare sector.
