The Faculty of Fine Arts and the Artists Syndicate in Babil have completed their preparations to hold the 11th edition of the "Springs of Martyrdom Theater Festival," which will take place from July 19 to 21. The official opening will be at 11:00 AM in the hall of the Iraqi Media Network in Babil.
The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Festival President, Professor Dr. Amer Sabah Al-Marzouk, confirmed that the festival includes ten theatrical performances from various Iraqi provinces, alongside intellectual and cultural activities involving more than one hundred artists and researchers. The festival aims to present an academic perspective on Hussaini theater and to promote artistic and cultural movement in Iraq, with a focus on the values of martyrdom and sacrifice related to the cause of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
The activities of the first day include opening speeches, an art exhibition, a documentary screening, a physical theater performance, and an intellectual seminar featuring researchers from several universities. The second and third days will feature theatrical performances and critical sessions, concluding with honoring the participants and awarding prizes.
