The Environmental Research and Studies Center at the University of Babylon, under the patronage of the university president, Prof. Dr. Amin Ajeel Elyaseri, held its second Environmental Festival in celebration of University Day. The festival featured an exhibition of scientific research posters, presentations of key innovative projects, and books published by the center’s researchers. It also launched scientific and awareness initiatives, including free medical screenings and a seed distribution campaign called "Plant a Seed" to promote environmental awareness.
The event saw active participation from the center’s faculty and staff, along with collaboration from community artists and creatives. Notably, artist Nidaa Al-Ali presented an art exhibition addressing environmental issues and pollution, while children from the Gifted Kindergarten performed interactive presentations on water conservation and waste sorting. The festival concluded with awards honoring contributors and encouraging environmental stewardship, with attendees praising the event’s role in fostering environmental sustainability and bridging theoretical education with practical application.
