The University of Babylon, under the leadership of Professor Dr. Amin Al-Yasiri and the supervision of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mansour Al-Khafaji, is effectively working towards achieving environmental sustainability. The university is developing a comprehensive waste management system to reduce the negative impact of waste on the environment and public health. This initiative aims to enhance environmental awareness among students and staff and promote sustainable practices within the university community.
The team, consisting of the Director of the Computer Center, Dr. Mahmoud Shakir, designer Dr. Balasim Hussein, and programmer Ruwaya Niaz, explained that the system involves collecting and processing waste data to improve management efficiency and support the university s goal of becoming a sustainable green model. This project is part of broader efforts to achieve sustainable development goals and enhance environmental practices across the campus.
