Professor Dr. Amin Al-Yasiri, President of the University of Babylon, participated in the second meeting of the Council of Opinion for 2025, chaired by Minister of Higher Education Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi. The Minister emphasized the Ministry s commitment to supporting students and preserving university values. Key decisions included:
• Data Update: Updating student, faculty, and curriculum data in central systems.
• Medical Diplomas: Adopting a form for discussing high diploma projects in medical specialties.
• Faculty Evaluation: Raising the minimum evaluation score for faculty to 75%.
• Scientific Committees: Adding Ph.D. holders to scientific committees if advanced titles are unavailable.
• Urban Planning Law: Approving the draft law for the Institute of Urban and Regional Planning.
• Directing public and private universities, colleges, and institutes to update student, faculty, and curriculum data in the Ministry s central systems (SIS – LMS - HRMS) as part of the automation project in the Ministry and universities, which was inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
