The basis for achieving economic and social development in any country, whether it is a developing or developed country, is the interest in the quality of education outputs, and global Ranking.
The University of Babylon has advanced (85) ranks among foreign universities this year in the (Scimago) world ranking for university performance, to position (722) out of (8084) universities ranked in this iteration, after being ranked (808) last year. Dr. Bushra Muhammad Kazim, an official with the International Rankings Unit, explained that the ranking is based on 50 percent research performance, 20 percent community impact, and 30 percent innovation and creativity outputs. Publications in certified worldwide volumes, quality of published journals, total reference citations, and relative impact factors are all on the axis of research performance.
The university participated in important international Ranking this year, including the Times Ranking 2022 with all types, the Shanghai Ranking, and the QS Ranking, noting that the university occupied an advanced global rank in the classification of sustainable development after achieving the rank of (124) in the (UI Green Metric) rankings. Universities, as well as the WURI Innovative Universities Ranking of South Korea, led the list last year, with the university achieving an advanced rank in the crisis management axis and a global ranking of No(19).
