The University of Babylon has achieved competitive results in the QS Sustainability Rankings 2025, ranking third locally alongside Al-Nahrain University and globally within the 1451-1500 range. This ranking involved approximately 1,800 universities worldwide.According to a report from the Ministry of Higher Education, the classification is based on a methodology that includes indicators measuring an institution s environmental impact (45%), social impact (44%), and governance (10%). It was noted that over 100 Iraqi universities and colleges compete in eight global rankings, positioning Iraq 29th globally in terms of the number of universities ranked in the Times Higher Education rankings, and 7th globally in the Times Higher Education Sustainability Rankings.
