The Universty of Babylon has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing first place at the University Festival of Fine Arts, thanks to the steadfast support of its esteemed President, Professor Dr. Amin Ajeel Yasser Al-Yasiri, and the dedicated guidance of Professor Dr. Mithaq Talib Abdul Jabouri, Assistant President for Administrative Affairs. This prestigious festival took place from December 1 to 5, 2024, in Najaf, hosted by Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, with participation from over 50 governmental and private universities across Iraq.Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Kazem Mansour Al-Khafaji, Director of the Student Activities Department, praised this victory as a testament to the creativity and commitment of the university s students across various artistic disciplines such as painting, sculpture, digital art, handicrafts, ceramics, calligraphy, and ornamentation. The students presented exceptional artistic works that showcased a high level of professionalism and innovation.Dr. Al-Khafaji emphasized that this achievement is the result of collaborative efforts between students and faculty members, bolstered by continuous support from the university administration and college deans aimed at enhancing the university s reputation in various fields.
