The Faculty of Science at the University of Babylon held a scientific seminar titled "Ways to Prevent Drug Abuse," attended by Dr. Mohammed Hadi Shneen, the college dean, along with faculty and students. Ahmed Abdul Ghafour from the Babylon Drug Directorate discussed the types of drugs entering the country and their marketing methods. He emphasized that security forces are diligently working to combat this issue by pursuing dealers and highlighted the crucial role of Iraqi families in monitoring their children and raising awareness about the dangers of drugs.Sheikh Ali Nasser Al-Sultani spoke about the prohibition of drug promotion and use, citing verses from the Quran, and urged students to take full responsibility for avoiding this dangerous epidemic threatening society. Additionally, Ahmed Saadoun Hamid, the media director of the Babylon Drug Directorate, mentioned that the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, has established a rehabilitation center for drug addicts, which offers various benefits aimed at helping them return to normal life.
