The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, met with the President of Babylon University, Dr. Amin Ajeel Yasser. During the meeting, the minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the president s efforts in enhancing the university s status and achieving job stability in a short period. Dr. Yasser requested the minister to grant letters of thanks and appreciation to the university staff, praising the university s capabilities in academic and research excellence.
Dr. Yasser conveyed the minister s greetings and thanks to all university staff for their outstanding efforts in serving higher education and Iraq. He emphasized the significant role that the university plays in achieving advanced rankings in local and international classifications, noting the positive changes witnessed at the university under his leadership.
The president added that the full support received from the minister has helped identify issues and work effectively on addressing them. He highlighted the importance of major construction projects such as the university medical city and the Artificial Intelligence department in the College of Information Technology, which reflect their ambition to elevate the university to be among distinguished global institutions.
Dr. Yasser stressed that their goal is not merely to reach acceptable ranks but to strive for leadership in classifications. He affirmed that this responsibility requires collective effort from day one of his presidency. He expressed his deep appreciation to the minister for his trust and ongoing support in advancing Babylon University as a hub for creativity and excellence in community service
