The University of Babylon has achieved the top position among Iraqi government and private universities and ranked 133rd globally out of 1174 competing universities in the UIGreenMetric2023 sustainable development ranking. The ranking criteria include environmental infrastructure, energy, water resources, waste management, plastic waste reduction, transportation, pollution, and academic and research activities related to sustainable development goals. The university has consistently achieved advanced positions in various global rankings, reflecting the institution s development and academic quality in the international competition through the application of academic quality standards.
