A delegation from the University of Babylon led by Prof. Dr. Qahtan Hadi Hussein Al-Jubouri met with an international academic evaluation team that included Mr. Nick Davis, Head of the Times Classification for the Middle East and Africa, Dr. Talal Youssef, Dean of Higher Education and Technology in the Queensland Government, and Dr. Steve Hall, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Central Queensland University And Dr. Salih Jaafar, the director of the Malaysian Academy of Professors. The conference happened after the University of Babylon topped the Iraqi universities in the Times World Ranking, becoming the first Iraqi university to achieve this feat and ranking 601st internationally among 1799 universities from 104 countries, Academic specialists met with the president and university representatives to discuss a variety of topics, including international engagement, education and scientific research partnerships, alumni-related events, promotional and communication initiatives, scholarships and prizes, And strengthening institutional relations with foreign universities and international organizations, and developing joint programs, by encouraging foreign students to enroll in Iraqi universities based on the “Study in Iraq” project launched by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
