Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the minister of higher education and scientific research, met with Mr. Walid Muhammad Ismail, the ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Iraq, and they talked about the potential for academic and scientific cooperation between the two nations. After the launch of the (Study in Iraq) project and initiative for the admission of Arab and foreign students to Iraqi universities, the Minister of Education confirmed during the meeting that Iraqi universities and educational institutions are eager to bridge scientific and academic cooperation with Egyptian educational institutions.
He described how Iraqi universities are prepared to offer scholarships to students from other countries who want to finish their undergraduate and Postgraduate educations in a variety of disciplines. For his part, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Walid Muhammad Ismail, commended the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, for his initiative to allow Arab and foreign students to enroll in Iraqi universities while reiterating the Egyptian side s readiness to launch joint initiatives for the admission of students from both nations universities.
