The Seventh International Conference on Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety and Security, which was held from December 4-6, 2022, at the Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies under the direction of the National Security Advisor, came to an end with the participation of 26 Arab and foreign countries, 529 participants In addition to the relevant authorities from the security services, consulting chemists, veterinarians, and lawyers, as well as the relevant authorities from the security and intelligence services. The conference s objective is to improve the coordination of national, regional, and worldwide capacity development (CBRN)
At the conference s conclusion, the national security adviser, Mr. Qassem Al-Araji, gave a speech in which he emphasized that Iraq is one of the nations that has fallen victim to the use of chemical and biological weapons and that in order to address threats, risks, and challenges, capabilities must be increased at the national, regional, and international levels. He also noted that the threat of terrorism remains a serious threat to international peace, Where he indicated the need for international and Arab cooperation to confront terrorist organizations.
Dr. Muhammad Mansour Al-Khafaji, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies at the University of Babylon, congratulated the conference participants and awarded them certificates of appreciation, expressing thanks and gratitude to everyone who participated and contributed to the conference s success.
